My Life in Pictures
1) The message that I was trying to convey in my self portrait collage was who I was, what I liked, and what made me different from other people. My faiths and beliefs, what I do outside of school, my likes and dislikes that show who I am. The background photo that I have been reading called “The World Before Us” by Aislinn Hunter. I often do read books, it helps me destress. My second layer was a picture I took last weekend, I was on my way to a family gathering and as I was driving I saw this lake in Bloomfield, so I stopped and look a bunch of pictures. Whenever I have a lot of freetime I like going out to any lake and just relax and hang out with my family and friends. When I get stressed, I like coloring. A few weeks ago I bought an “adult coloring book”, it had very complex patterns and designs that I enjoy. I used the ‘magic wand’ in photoshop to help define my image better. I also used the opacity icon to help blend in my photos better. Overall, I wanted to show people who I was and what made different from others. I enjoyed working on this.
2) This selfie that I did was taken at an engagement party I went to. I dressed up nice and, there was very good lighting there so I took a lot of pictures and I eventually found a good selfie to use for my double exposure. For my background photo, I decided to use a picture that I took on my way home. There were these beautiful white blossoms growing through my fence. I personally love taking pictures of flowers. They bring a a sense of calmness and purity in the atmosphere, if that makes sense. Flowers make me happy and so does this selfie.
